A native of Washington, D.C., and raised in Charleston, South Carolina, Okera earned dual degrees in Fashion Design, Merchandising, and Marketing from Clark Atlanta University. Before completing her studies, she honed her editorial eye in New York as an intern at Mirabella Magazine, where she later became Assistant Fashion Editor—developing her signature ability to blend American ease with European refinement through texture, tailoring, and bold expression.

After relocating to Los Angeles, Okera quickly became a sought-after stylist and costume designer in film and television. Her innate sense of luxury style and relentless work ethic earned her features on E! Online, CNN, The Style Network, OK! Magazine, VH1, and TV One’s Sister Circle, where she was celebrated as a go-to lifestyle and style expert. Named one of Cosmopolitan Magazine’s recommended stylists in Los Angeles, her client roster has included icons such as Martha Stewart, Snoop Dogg, Tiffany Haddish, Anthony Anderson, Keenen Ivory Wayans, Craig Ferguson, and Wanda Sykes.
